Clinics

A wide range of clinics is offered: Every Thursday at Aysgarth 2.00-3.00pm
Every Thursday at Hawes 10.30am-12 noon By appointment at both surgeries. The health visitor holds these at Hawes on the first Tuesday monthly between 2.00-4.00pm for weighing and advice. At Aysgarth this clinic is on the first Wednesday monthly between 10.00-11.30am. When you receive your recall letter, contact your surgery to make an appointment. If you prefer a lady doctor or nurse, please tell the receptionist when booking. If you are between 25 and 65 and have not had a smear within the last three years, please contact your surgery. This is organised by your local health visitor. Details can be obtained from either surgery. The practice offers a minor injuries service between 8.30am-6.00pm Monday - Friday. At weekends there is a minor injuries centre at Richmond (01748 822109), 8.00am-4.30pm Saturday and Sunday. Outside these hours, the casualty department at the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton is available 24 hours, 7 days a week (01609 779911). Some surgical procedures can be carried out at your surgery. Your doctor will advise you during your consultation. Specialists from the hospitals hold clinics at Hawes and Aysgarth. Your doctor will refer you as appropriate. Please ask the practice nurse at your surgery. Once monthly at Aysgarth and twice monthly at Hawes by appointment. At least three weeks before travelling please attend surgery and request a consultation with your practice nurse. Your immunisation history will be checked, you will be given travel health advice appropriate to your destination(s) and will be offered the necessary vaccinations.
